We then implement efficient warehousing (for a small business this is often as simple as buying 3 or 4 shelving units, some parts bins, and a marker) and SKU numbering. We ensure that your picking dockets printed from Shopify contain the SKU of the product and the area it is stored in. We implement barcode scanning to ensure accurate fulfilment. We integrate Shopify with your courier’s labelling software. We determine a system for choosing the lowest cost packaging for each order. We implement barcode drive stock taking processes, and we tweak Shopify to allow automated returns processes for your customers to return defective or unwanted goods.
