First Step
Review & Report
If you are an e-commerce business or a traditional retail business with an e-commerce function then we can work with you.
We know that e-commerce is different to traditional retail and you probably know by now that just building a great website won't cut it. You need expertise and guidance to create profitable commerce online.
We will start by creating a detailed report in plain English that assesses where you are, where you need to go, and how you might get there. The report will look at all aspects of your e-commerce including your technology stack, email and other marketing, key metrics, and finances.
The initial report will show you that we understand your issues and that we have the skills to solve them. We won't hold back - all our cards will be on the table. The report will in itself be a complete and valuable project for your business.
There is no obligation beyond the initial report and it is one of the most valuable outcomes from working with us. Start the process and begin learning with us.
Second Step
Tech & Tools
We work exclusively with Shopify for e-commerce and Klaviyo for email marketing. We have minimum standards we can work with on your website and your Klaviyo setup.
We understand that you may have paid a lot of money for a website built in WooCommerce or BigCommerce or even Wix. We don't like those products, we don't believe they make as much money, and we choose not to work with them. If they work for you that is great, but we need your website to work with us and to work for you to our standards.
If required we will build your website from the ground up with our profit first model in mind. We will use high technical standards in Shopify and in so far as possible we avoid apps, plugins, and "hacks".
We are exceptionally good at building websites, and we do it fast. There won't be endless delays, meetings for coffee, or excuses. Your website will usually be done and dusted in a few days, and then we will work with you long term to make it profitable. Or of course you might already be good to go.
Building a website won't make your e-commerce business profitable. "Build it and they will come" has never been true in e-commerce unfortunately. But you need the best website you can get in order to build a business on it. Let us do that for you. We will setup Klaviyo and the other tools you require while we are at it.
Third Step
Progress & Profit
It's possible our report declared that your business is perfect, and our tech stack review concluded that your website is spot on. If so thanks for working with us! Otherwise the real work begins now.
What is e-commerce for if not to make money? It's not about the vanity of revenue, it's not about ticking a box to look like a progressive business, and it's not about building a website just because you got a grant to pay for it. It is about adding profit to your business.
We will work with you for up to 12 months to analyse, test, understand, and change your e-commerce offering until it is highly profitable and sustainable. At the end of every month we will send you a very detailed report showing progress, insights, and next steps. At the start of every month we will meet you (ideally in person) to discuss progress and to plan.
